Sundakkaivathal means sun-dried sundakki vegetable; this can be fried and served with curd or rasam rice. The vegetable is first immersed in curd and then dried; after which it is fried in oil as sundakkaivathal. The fruits that grow in the Sundakkai plant look like berries or green peas.
